GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

Bullying Prevention Week will be conducted from May 3rd to 6th. During this week, students will be engaged in slogan writing, online quiz, pledge wall, reading session and movie review. It aims to spread awareness among them and check their understanding about bullying & apply the knowledge to prevent it.

International Day of Families with the theme titled ‘Letter to Loved Ones – Hindi’ and ‘Read Aloud with Family – English’ will be held on May 13th & 14th respectively. Through these activities, students will showcase the importance of families. It will also help to strengthen the bond between parents and their wards.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

Labor Day (online card making) will be held on May 3rd. This activity will be an opportunity for students to appreciate the commitment and dedication of the school support staff.

Thematic Assembly Online and Collage Art Online with the theme titled ‘Mother’s Day’ will be conducted on May 10th. Through these activities, students will honor one's own mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.

International Day of Families will be held on May 17th. Students will be involved in poem writing and read aloud with parents (online). It aims to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families.

Ramadan Challenge (spirit of Ramadan online) will be organised during this month (date yet to decide). Through thematic assembly, students will understand that Ramadan spirit is for meals, caring and sharing. They will also learn that fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and its health benefits.

Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)

Card Making with the theme titled ‘Appreciation to COVID19 Frontline Fighters’ will be organised on May 1st. Students will be engaged in making handmade cards. It aims to inculcate moral values. It will also be an opportunity to show their gratitude to all those who work round the clock putting themselves at risk to fight the ravages of this pandemic.

Inter-class Creative Writing for grade 7 and Poetry Competition for grade 8 will be conducted on May 18th. This competition will help students to enhance their creative skills, thoughts and expression. It will also be an opportunity for showcasing their caliber working towards their overall development.

Grade 7 (Boys)

MEP Activity will be organised on May 21st. Students will be engaged in poster making on ‘Duties and Responsibilities’. It aims to promote and encourage them to be responsible towards their family and the society they live in.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Special Assembly titled ‘Ramadan’ will be held on May 4th. Through this assembly, students will know that the Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement and heightened devotion & worship. It will also help to create awareness on Islamic culture and value.

English and Hindi Elocution will be conducted on May 11th. The objective is to encourage student to develop their language skills and critical thinking.

Grade 8 (Boys)

Card Designing with the theme ‘Community Building’ will be organised on May 21st. The purpose is to encourage students to build a strong cohesive community.

Grade 9 (Girls)

Calligraphy Competition in Arabic on the topic ‘International Day of Families’ will be conducted on May 14th. This competition aims in developing students’ good handwriting and instilling a sense of family bonding.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Poster Making for grade 9 and Collage Making for grade 10 on the theme ‘Anti-Tobacco’ will be organised on May 7th. This activity will help students on the effective campaign against the ill effects of smoking.

Grade 10 (Girls)

Card Making competition on the topic ‘My Mother’ will be conducted on May 14th. This competition was an opportunity for students to show their creative expression about the topic.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

Poster Making on ‘No Tobacco Day’ will be organised on May 28th. This activity aims to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and the second hand smoke exposure. It will also help to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.

Grade 11 (Girls)

Unit Tests will be conducted from May 1st week (dates yet to decide). The objective is to assess what students have learned after the completion of a month’s learning with their new set of elective subjects.

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

Offstage events of the Talents Day will be held from May 15th onwards (tentative date). This competition will take place through the online submission of entries on poetry, movie review, comic strip, single character short film and photography.

Grade 11 (Boys)

Story Writing will be organised on May 21st. The purpose for students is to foster the development and love of creative writing. It will also be an opportunity for them to demonstrate the ability to produce writing that is clear & logical and to produce writing that is original & imaginative.

Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)

Photography Competition will be conducted from May 16th till 19th. Students will exhibit their photography skills on the topic titled ‘International Day of Light’.

Poetry Writing Competition will be conducted on May 19th. Through this competition, students will promote writing and appreciation of poetry. They will use elements of poetry such as diction, rhyme scheme, tone, imagery, figures of speech, theme and more while writing a poem.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

Well-Being Care Letters will be organised through the entire month of May, 2020 for students, parents and staff. These letters will equip them with concrete tools for them to practice well-being.
