GRADE - WISE

KG 1

Cool Pool Day was held from September 8th till 25th. During these days, students splashed and played in the pool. They enjoyed floating and swimming with their friends. It also helped them to develop their motor skills.

KG 2

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Back to School’ was conducted on September 8th with mass participation of divisions ‘I, J & K’. Students performed a skit about the topic. They also shared their experiences on how they spent their holidays and what they feel after coming back to school.

Colour Day was held on September 14th. Through this day, a colour theme was allotted to each class. They decorated their classes with things that represent their colour and dressed to match the theme of their class.

Nutrition Week was organised from September 21st till 25th. During this week, parents sent nutritious food in their wards snack boxes.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Good Food & Bad Food’ was conducted on September 22nd with mass participation of divisions ‘L, M & N’. This assembly helped students to understand the importance of eating healthy food and avoid junk food.

Good Food Fair was held on September 24th & 25th. Through this fair, volunteer parents from each class contributed and served home cooked food for students.

Grade 1 & 2

Nasheed Competition was organised on September 18th for grade 1. This competition helped students to develop recitation skills. We could also promote Islamic values and teachings through poetry and recitation.

Badging Ceremony was conducted on September 22nd for grade 1 & 2 boys, on September 23rd for grade 1 girls and on September 30th for grade 2 girls. “Super Reader” badges were awarded to the students.

Grade 1 & 2 (Girls)

Picture Composition and Creative Writing competitions was organised on September 9th. This competition helped students to enhance observation, imagination and writing skills. Certificates were awarded.

Thematic Assembly with the theme ‘Teacher’s Day’ was held on September 9th. During this assembly, grade 2 division ‘J’ presented a skit in three languages. They were also trained to offer flowers as a token of love and respect.

Thematic Assembly with the theme ‘International Day of Charity’ was conducted on September 16th. Students displayed a skit in Hindi and English. They also performed a song in Arabic.

Thematic Assembly with the theme ‘International Day of Literacy’ was held on September 23rd. During this assembly, grade 1 division ‘B’ presented a skit, song and dance in three languages.

Quran Recitation competition was held on September 28th for grade 2.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Gandhi Jayanthi’ was conducted on September 30th with mass participation of grade 1 division ‘C’.

Grade 1 & 2 (Boys)

Hindi Declamation was conducted on September 14th for grade 2 and on September 18th for grade 1. This competition was an opportunity for students to expressed oneself on the given topic. It helped them to promote the use of intonation and facial & vocal expression. It also developed their speaking and communication skills.

Sectional Fire Drill Practice was held on September 14th.

Arabic Group Read Aloud competition was organised on September 15th for grade 2. This competition helped students to encourage mass participation and promote Arabic language. Classes were judge based on fluency, expression, posture and other criteria.

FA 2 was conducted on September 15th for ‘Value Education’ subject, on September 22nd for ‘Arabic’ subject and on September 29th for ‘Hindi’ subject.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Kindness Friendship & Co-operation’ was conducted on September 22nd with mass participation of grade 2 division ‘K’. This assembly encouraged individual participation of students, enhanced oral skills in three languages, provided knowledge about the topic and promoted the skill of enacting & speaking.

Qirat Recitation competition was conducted on September 28th for grade 2. This competition helped students to understand the importance of reciting Quran with ‘Tajweed’. They recited verses from the Holy Quran.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Literacy Day’ was held on September 30th. During this assembly, the entire class of grade 1 division ‘N’ performed together. Songs, skit, individual speeches and use of ICT was promoted.

Grade 1 to 4

Hindi Good Handwriting competition was conducted on September 9th for grade 2 girls and on September 14th for grade 3 & 4 boys. Through this competition, good handwriting was promoted.

School Fire Drill by the Civil Defense Personnel was conducted on September 23rd. This drill created awareness among students about the evacuation procedure in case of a fire / disaster.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on September 25th for grade 3 & 4 girls and on September 30th for grade 1 & 2 girls. Through a short program, students were made aware on the importance of Hindi as the Indian national language.

Grade 3 & 4

Teachers Day was celebrated on September 4th. This day was an opportunity for students to show sense of respect and appreciation towards the teachers. Cultural program like singing, dancing and play performances were presented.

Inter House Math Quiz (Final) competition was held on September 8th for grade 3 and on September 9th for grade 4 boys. This competition provided students the challenges on accumulation and retention of knowledge. It also helped them to achieve academic excellence.

Sectional Fire Drill Practice was organised on September 9th & 10th for boys and on September 16th for girls. The objective of this practice was to create mass awareness among students and staff on fire safety. Staff, teachers and students practiced safe and orderly evacuation.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Safety in School, at Home & Public Places’ was conducted on September 10th with mass participation of grade 3 division ‘I’ and on September 18th with mass participation of grade 4 division ‘T’.

English Story Writing competition was held on September 15th for grade 3 & 4 boys and on September 17th for grade 4 girls. During this competition, students were asked to write a story on the given topic. It helped them to develop imagination and writing skills.

Science Exhibition was conducted on September 17th.This exhibition was an opportunity for students to display, address and demonstrates their projects. It also helped them to develop scientific skills, learning and attitude through experiments by various means.

Grade 3 & 4 (Girls)

Hindi Recitation competition was held on September 11th for grade 3. During this competition, students recited poems with expression, voice modulation and intonation. It helped them to develop their interest and understanding about Hindi poetry.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Independence Day of India & Teachers Day’ was conducted on September 18th with mass participation of grade 3 division ‘J’.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Celebrations – Festivals’ was held on September 24th with mass participation of grade 3 division ‘K’. Through this assembly, students shared their ideas about the topic in three languages.

Mask Making (Art & Craft) activity was organised on September 25th. This competition helped students to enhance their creativity. They prepared face masks of certain characters.

Grade 3 & 4 (Boys)

Student Council meeting with agenda titled ‘Peer Assistance – Helping SEN’ was conducted on September 8th and on September 21st with agenda titled ‘Areas on School Premises – Use & Misuse’.

Independent Writing competition was held on September 16th for grade 3. This competition helped students to develop creative writing skills and make language learning an activity based subject.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

Student Talk on the topic ‘Confidence Building Tricks’ was organised on September 14th for grade 3 girls.

A Talk for teachers was held on September 20th. This talk emphasized the need to correctly identify SEN among student with the help of symptoms.

Parent Talk on the topic ‘Speech and Language Development in Young Children’ was conducted on September 26th for KG 1. Ms. Shabina Muhammad Raoof, Speech – Language Pathologist was the resource person from Prime Medical Centre.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVT.

CPD program on E-Learning was organised on September 13th, 17th, 21st, 22nd & 27th. This training helped us to determine the level and effectiveness of some of our teacher in using ‘interactive white boards’.

Basic Leadership Course was conducted on September 13th, 20th & 27th for our staff at Canadian University Dubai.
