An Educational Trip to Dolphinarium was organised on September 26th. During this educational trip, students had an opportunity to observe and have a first-hand experience of what they have learnt about water animals. They enjoyed and it also advanced their social & language skills.
KG 1 & KG 2
Read With Me activity was conducted on September 16th. This activity helped students to develop their vocabulary through listening & speaking, improve their reading skills and instill in them the habit of good reading. It was also an opportunity for the involvement of parents and their participation in promoting social, emotional and academic growth.
Thematic Assembly titled ‘Healthy and Junk Food’ was held on September 23rd with mass participation of divisions ‘U & V’. As part of the section’s nutrition week, assigned classes dressed up and wore headdress related to the theme. They imparted the importance of eating healthy food and why we need to avoid junk foods. It created awareness of healthy & junk food and its importance.
Good Food Fair was conducted on September 26th. Students concluded the nutrition week with a Good Food Fair. They brought healthy foods and shared it with the rest of the students. A short programme was presented where selected students showcased their talent in dancing. Questions were asked about the benefits of eating healthy foods. Zumba dance was also included.
Grade 1 & 2
Science Exhibition was organised on September 10th & 11th. Students showcased their talents on creativity and innovation by using recycling materials. They exhibited different projects based on science, displayed their models, charts & presentations, and explained the concepts through hands on tasks. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research-mindedness but also creating teaching aids. They participated in activities to understand the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the task. They also promote interest in scientific creativity and learn through self-created models.
Badging Ceremony was conducted on September 17th. Through this ceremony, students were honored with Reading Star Badges for their exceptional reading skills. Smart Readers were awarded badges for Reading Programme.
Grade 1 (Girls)
Arabic Group Recitation was conducted on September 9th. The purpose was to helped students to enhance their skills in Arabic language. They also showed a good team effort.
Picture Composition was organised on September 16th. The objective was to enhance visual thinking in students.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘International Day of Peace’ was held on September 10th with mass participation of grade 2 divisions ‘E & K’. During this assembly, students performed a skit on the importance of respect, tolerance, empathy and kindness in English Hindi & Arabic languages. It was an opportunity for mass participation and to make them aware of the importance of peace. It also helped to motivate and enhance their public speaking skills.
Art Exhibition was organised on September 11th & 12th. This activity was an opportunity for students to exhibit their work. They displayed their creative skills through art.
Slide Show on Five Pillars of Islam was conducted on September 17th. This activity created Islamic awareness among Islamic students.
Thematic Assembly titled ‘UAE – The Melting Pot Of Different Cultures’ was held on September 24th with mass participation of grade 1 division ‘G’. This assembly was an opportunity for mass participation and to make students aware of UAE. It also helped to motivate and enhance their public speaking skills.

Story Writing was conducted on September 16th. This activity aimed to enhance and encourage creative skills in students.

Student Talk was conducted on September 15th. The purpose of this talk for students was to promote understanding of appropriate behavior and practising right values in given situations. They were helped to understand common age related concerns and handling situations.
Grade 1 & 2 (Boys)
Thematic Assembly titled ‘In fitness with Yoga- mind and body’ was held on September 10th with mass participation of grade 1 division ‘N’. The objective of this assembly for students was to spread awareness on the importance of physical and mental health through Yoga. It also aimed to develop their lifelong skills of maintaining mind and body.
Drawing & Colouring competition was conducted on September 12th. This competition aimed to inculcate among students the habit of expression through colourful visuals and improve fine motor & coordination skills. It also helped to develop confidence through expression of art and improve their creative problem solving skills.
Thematic Assembly titled ‘International Day of Charity / Teachers Day’ was held on September 17th. During this assembly, students display the value of charity and express their gratitude to the teachers through skit, speech & dance. They learnt compassion for the underprivileged and gratitude to the teachers.
Islamic Awareness was organised on September 17th. Students spoke on the principles of Islam to create awareness for the religion. They were briefed on the principles of Islam.
Thematic Assembly titled ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ was held on September 24th. This assembly aimed to promote mass participation, enhance their oral skills in English, Arabic & Hindi languages, boost self-confidence to enact and express in dance & drama form. They also displayed the methods to attain a sustainable living, learnt the 3Rs in daily life to try & make the planet green, learnt team work and expressed their opinions effectively.
Hindi Declamation was conducted on September 25th. The purpose of this competition for students was to enhance their strength of speaking in Hindi on a given topic by providing opportunity for individual participation. They spoke fluently with clarity, correct pronunciation, facial expression, voice modulation and coherently. They competed with their peers from the other classes. Certificates were awarded to the winners.
Grade 3 & 4
Thematic Assemblies titled ‘The International Day of Charity, ’Teacher’s Day’ and ‘International Day of Peace’ were held on September 4th & 11th with mass participation of grade 4 divisions ‘A, G, V & W’ respectively. These assemblies made students realized the importance of the topics. They participated with great enthusiasm, spoke with confidence and presented their topics in English, Hindi and Arabic languages. It was also an opportunity for them to share their ideas and talents on stage.
Grade 3 & 4 (Girls)
Hindi Diwas was held on September 18th. The objective was to make students aware of the importance of Hindi as our Indian National Language. It was also an opportunity to pay tribute to this widely spoken language and to mark the anniversary of its being declared as India’s National official language.
Thematic Assemblies titled ‘Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ and ‘UAE - a melting pot of different cultures showcasing Tolerance - United in Ambition & Determination’ were held on September 18th & 25th with mass participation of grade 4 divisions ‘C & K’. Students were given an opportunity to share their ideas and talents on stage. They were very enthusiastic and spoke with confidence. They presented their topics in English, Hindi and Arabic languages.
Hindi Declamation was conducted on September 25th. The purpose of this competition for students was to overcome their stage fright and develop their confidence, fluency & proper speaking skills. It also helped to encourage them and enhance their oratory skills.
Student Council meeting was organised on September 26th. The objective of this meeting for Student Council members was to prepare them to be ready to face the world inculcating leadership values in them, by being more independent in their thoughts and actions.
Grade 4 (Girls)
Student Talk was conducted on September 15th for Student Council members. This talk aimed for the development of leadership skills, time management and discipline of the members. It also helped them in gaining self-confidence and being organized.
Grade 3 & 4 (Boys)
Talents Day was held on September 12th. This day was an opportunity for students to exhibit their artistic & musical talents on stage and thereby improve their self-confidence. They showcased their talents in singing, dancing, and playing instruments.
Thematic Assemblies titled ‘Being Considerate & Compassionate towards others’ and ‘World Culture’ were conducted on September 18th & 25th with mass participation of grade 3 divisions ‘M & O’ respectively. During these assemblies, students presented their topics in English, Hindi and Arabic languages. It helped them develop their public speaking skills and values related to Tolerance. Islamic awareness program was also included. They displayed a slideshow on the 5 pillars of Islam.
Arabic Declamation was conducted on September 22nd. This competition aimed to enhance students’ skills in Arabic language, to develop their confidence, memorization & presentation and to learn to develop content, diction, expression, voice modulation and clarity. It also helped them to refresh, enliven & train each of them in a large group and simultaneously bring to each one a variety of valuable experiences.
Student Council meeting was organised on September 29th. Student Council members met and discussed the ongoing school activities & how it’s related to Expo 2020 and Tolerance in Health. They also discussed on spreading the awareness of health issues and benefits of tolerance in certain health habits. It created awareness on tolerance & importance of health responsibility and more.
Teacher’s Day Celebration was held on September 5th. This day was an opportunity to honour the special contribution of teachers and to appreciate them. Students showed their gratitude on this occasion by presenting various musical and dance programmes. It also helped to promote the values and principles of a true teacher.
Sectional Fire Drills were conducted on September 15th, 17th & 18th. Students were taught about the safety measures to be taken in case of fire. They practiced the method of how the building would be evacuated in case of fire or any other emergency where the Fire Marshals reinforced the Fire Safety Law.
School Fire Drill was conducted on September 24th. During this drill, students executed instructions to get aware of the basic steps to follow in case of fire or another emergency along with the entire strength of the school. It made them aware of the evacuating process in case of an event of fire.
Civil Defense Fire Drill planned on September 25th was postponed to a later date. Civil Defense officials had to attend to an emergency situation.
Can Collection by grade 3 & 4 Environment Club was organised on September 16th. This activity created awareness among students of the importance of 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This year, the world environment theme is “Beat Plastic Pollution”. It helped to educate and motivate the community on effective waste management. It also provided a platform for our green heroes and participants to become role models to their families, companies & educational institutions.
Kitchen Garden was conducted on September 25th for grade 3 & 4 Environment Club members. This activity was an opportunity for students to improve their skills for growing fresh & safe vegetables without use of any pesticide, participate in planting saplings in the kitchen garden area in the school premises in support of the Go Green Initiative and own a plant to inculcate the habit of caring for plants. It helped to motivate them towards the initiation of reducing global warming. It also created awareness about kitchen gardening and use them to promote healthy eating.
Talks for Students on the topic ‘Staying Safe’ were conducted on September 12th for grade 1 girls and on September 15th & 17th for grade 1 boys. The purpose was to understand the ways of staying safe in their daily routines.
Talks for Students on the topic ‘Bullying’ were held on September 15th & 16th for grade 4. These talks aimed to make students understand what is bullying and knows how to deal with it.
A Talk for Students on the topic ‘Being Responsible’ was conducted on September 22nd for grade 2. Through this talk, students understood the different ways of being responsible in their daily routines.
Talks for Parents were held on September 27th for grades 1 to 4 parents whose ward receives learning support. These talks equipped grade 1 parents with strategies to help their ward in Spelling and Math Operation problem (addition & subtraction), grade 2 parents in Phonemic awareness, Blending in Reading & Number concept, grade 3 parents in Sentence Structure & solving Math Word problems (addition & subtraction) and grade 4 parents in Writing (vocabulary, spelling, sentence level & paragraph writing) & Math Operations (division & multiplication).
Diploma in Special Education Needs for IS Team members was conducted on September 7th at National Academy, Karama. It was designed to help educational practitioners explore concepts of special education and approaches relevant to the teaching & learning of students with special education needs & disabilities.
CPD Program on Microsoft Office Level 2010 was organised from September 8th till 12th for teachers. This program included Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Inter House Tournaments were conducted on September 11th for grade 3 & 4 girls Chess and on September 12th for grade 3 & 4 boys Badminton. These tournaments were an opportunity for students to apply the skills that they have learnt in their games period. Self-confidence, camaraderie and sportsmanship were also strengthened through playing among their peers.
Inter Class Chess competition was held on September 24th for grade 2. During this competition, students applied the skills that they have learnt in their games period.
