IHS Awarded First Topper at Maths Olympiad Contest

The Indian High School Dubai shines in the Ajman University’s 4th Edition of the Math Olympiad contest.

During the Awards Ceremony on Sunday, 3rd March 2019 held at the Ajman University Sheikh Zayed Center, the school was awarded as the "First Topper" out of 56 participating schools from all the Emirates.

The Olympiad contest, conducted on January 30, 2019, was participated by six (6) IHS students who were selected by the school: Sreelakshmi Gangadharan (11 Sci B), Navya Ratnan (11 Sci C), Wamika Malik (12 Sci B), Dhananjay M. Surti (11 Sci E), Jeff Byju (11 Sci F) and Ayushmaan Srivastava (11 Sci G).

Out of 336 students who took the Olympiad, our very own Wamika Malik got the First Place on the Girls Division and Dhananjay M. Surti, First Place on the Boys Division. Both received DELL Laptops and 50% scholarship to study at Ajman University.

The Olympiad aimed at creating the appropriate environment for high school students to compete in different Mathematical areas.
